The Zoological Society of London (ZSL) is a charity devoted to the worldwide conservation of animals and their habitats. Today ZSL is an international scientific, conservation and educational charity. Its key role is the conservation of animals and their habitats.

In total 278 controls were fitted to a verity of fridge/freezers used throughout the zoo for food storage. This high refrigeration load consumes approximately 1,032,763 units per year and makes up a considerable proportion of the zoo’s annual electric consumption. The SavaControl installation looked to not only reduce the consumption by 18.9% but also reduce the carbon footprint by reducing the CO2 by over 84Tons per year.

The installation was conducted by SavaControl in-house installation team with no disruption to day to day operations. The 278 controls achieved a payback of just over 16 months.
